It is finally Friday in a week that has had four Mondays so far.
We were shocked to hear that Jon Moncrief aka @Crief passed away early Thursday morning. Prayers and condolences to his family. I was fortunate to meet him last year at the draft at the Staples Center. In the short time I was with him, I could tell what a great guy he was and why he had so many friends. Gann Matsuda has a nice tribute.

Summer Fun For Preds Fans I...
As a reminder, tomorrow night is the first in a string of events for Preds fans in the off-season. The Nashville RollerGirls have a home bout at Municipal Auditorium that will be the closest thing to a a Preds game for skating excitement that you will see until next season.
Here is our Facebook event page as well as the RollerGirls web site that has all the details. The NRG also got some great pub in the Nashville Scene this week. If you've never been to derby, you need to give it a shot. If you have been, we know you will be there.
Next week we will have a group going to The Hangover 2 on opening night and Amanda DiPaolo has a Nashville Sounds outing set for Friday.

Bruins 2 - Lightning 0....
After Tuesday's 6-5 slug-fest in Boston, a 2-0 Boston win in Tampa was quite the surprise. Tim Thomas was the star of the game, stopping all 31 Tampa shots as Boston took a 2-1 series lead and took back the home ice advantage that they lost in game one. Patrice Bergeron returned and was a difference maker, winning 18 of 28 draws in the face off circle.
Game four will be an early game on NBC on Saturday. Tonight, game three of the Canucks-Sharks series will be on Versus at 8 p.m. CDT.
